1. Who we are
Partido Bangon Bangsamoro ("PBB," "we," "us," or "our") is a regional political party contesting the 2026 Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through bangonbangsamoro.com (the "Site"), in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in two ways:
Information you give us directly
- Volunteer sign-up form: full name, email address, province/area, and how you'd like to help.
- Direct contact: anything you send us by email or through Facebook Messenger.
- Staff accounts: for PBB staff and authorized volunteers using the internal dashboard, sign-in credentials and account activity.
Information collected automatically
- Accessibility and cookie preferences: stored on your own device (not on our servers) so your settings persist between visits. See our Cookie Policy for details.
- The sector you pick on the home page: if you tap one of the six choices ("Magsasaka / Mangingisda", "Propesyonal / Kabataan", and so on), that single word is stored on your own device so the page can lead with what is most relevant to you on your next visit. It is not sent to us, is not linked to your name, phone number or membership record, and is not used for advertising. Nothing is ever hidden from you because of it — the choice only changes the order and the wording, and "Ipakita lahat" clears it. Clearing your browser storage removes it entirely.
- Basic technical data: if and when we enable analytics (see the Cookie Policy — not currently active on this Site), we would collect standard web analytics such as pages visited and general location at a country/region level.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, religious affiliation, or political opinions beyond your voluntary interest in volunteering) through this Site.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to volunteer sign-ups and connect you with the right coordinator for your area and interests;
- To send you information about volunteering opportunities, campaign events, and updates you've asked for;
- To operate and secure the staff dashboard for authorized personnel;
- To understand how the Site is used, only if you've consented to analytics cookies;
- To comply with COMELEC campaign finance and disclosure obligations, where applicable.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the campaign without asking you first.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal information based on your consent (for example, when you voluntarily submit the volunteer form), our legitimate interest in coordinating campaign activities and communicating with supporters, and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations under Philippine election law.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:
- PBB volunteer coordinators and staff who need it to do their work;
- Service providers who help us operate the Site (for example, email or hosting providers), under obligations to protect your data;
- Government authorities, including COMELEC, where required by law.
6. How long we keep it
We retain volunteer sign-up information for as long as it's useful for the current campaign cycle, and in line with any applicable COMELEC record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 7).
7. Your rights under the Data Privacy Act
As a data subject under RA 10173, you have the right to:
- Be informed that your personal information will be, is being, or was processed;
- Access your personal information that we hold;
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information;
- Object to processing, including for direct marketing purposes;
- Erasure or blocking of your information, subject to certain exceptions;
- Data portability, where technically feasible;
- File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission if you believe your rights have been violated.

9. Children's privacy
This Site is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without appropriate consent. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we'll remove it.
10. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we hold against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the campaign progresses or as our data practices change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
