Template notice: this document is a standard-form starting point, not a substitute for legal advice. Have it reviewed before publishing, especially before adding any analytics or advertising script — this policy will need updating the moment a real third-party tracker is added (see Section 4).

1. What this policy covers
This Site is built as static pages and doesn't run a server-side session, so it uses your browser's own local storage rather than traditional server-set cookies for most of what's described below. The privacy effect is the same as a cookie — information is kept on your device and can be read back on your next visit — so we cover it here under "Cookie Policy" for clarity, in line with common practice.
2. Essential storage (always on)
This category can't be turned off, because the Site doesn't function properly without it.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
pbb_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie preference choice, so you're not asked again every visit. | Until you clear browser storage or change your preference |
3. Functional storage (your choice, but recommended)
This isn't gated behind the cookie consent banner because it only activates when you deliberately use a feature — but you're always in control of it via the accessibility toolbar itself.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
pbb_a11y_prefs | Remembers your accessibility settings — text size, contrast, underlined links, readable spacing, reduced motion — from the accessibility toolbar. | Until you reset it or clear browser storage |
4. Analytics & marketing (not currently used)
Our cookie preferences manager includes toggles for "Analytics" and "Marketing" categories, but as of the effective date above, no analytics or advertising script is active on this Site — those toggles are ready for when we add one (for example, a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand which pages are useful), and your saved preference will be honored automatically at that point rather than asking you again. When that changes, we'll update this policy with the specific tool, what it collects, and its retention period.
5. Third-party cookies (Facebook)
This Site links out to our Facebook Page and Messenger. If you click through to Facebook, Meta's own cookies and privacy practices apply — this Site does not embed a Facebook tracking pixel or "Like" button that would set third-party cookies while you're still on bangonbangsamoro.com.
6. Managing your preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of every page, or the accessibility icon in the bottom-left corner for accessibility settings specifically. You can also clear all stored preferences by clearing your browser's site data for bangonbangsamoro.com through your browser's settings.
7. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page whenever what we store changes — most notably if we add analytics or marketing tools in the future. Check the "Last updated" date above.
